Abigail has read so many books, she could build a castle large enough to keep out an army. As she transitioned from Middle grade to YA, she learned that most YA fiction only made the world feel darker.

When they offered hope, it didn’t feel like the hope she knew and loved. Hope isn’t doing nothing and having things work out and fall into your lap. Hope is something you fight for. Hope is full of grit, hope has blood on it’s knuckles, hope is refusal to let the dark win.

With the fierce hope that Christ provided she decided to write her own fiction-  to remind readers of the joy of magic, and the strength of real hope. In her spare time you can find her hip-hop dancing, finally becoming good at art, or polishing her decade of experience playing the piano.
